Software Engineer Required   

Citric Technology Ltd is attracting a large amount of new business which is leaving our current development staff stretched. We have found that we are slowly becoming unable to provide our usual high level of service to some of our smaller clients. To rectify this we are looking to take on a Software Engineer to work on smaller projects initially before assisting with larger project work. Long term, we hope the new member of staff will create a role for themselves in handling their own development projects and getting involved in larger project work as part of a team whilst learning new technologies.

This role is based in our Northampton office, with an initial salary of £22K-25K offered. Benefits (after qualifying period) include healthcare, gym membership, company pension and bonuses.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities

• To assist with development aspects of project work

• To assist with support work where required

• To provide technical documentation when required

• To ensure your activities within the company are in line with the corresponding QA procedures.

Secondary responsibilities

• To assist in daily routines about the office.

• To perform development work on and off site under the supervision of the Systems Engineer or Project Coordinator.

• To carry out activities as detailed in the SLA for clients.

Desirable Background and Qualifications

• Educated to at least A' level standard.

• Must be at least GCSE grade C standard in Mathematics and English Language.

• Must be experienced in a customer-facing role.

• Must be very presentable and articulate.

• Must have a current UK driving license and own car.

• Microsoft qualifications preferred but not essential.

Desirable Experience (Some of the following)

• .Net Programming (C# preferred)

• SharePoint 2007/2010 (Development experience ideal)

• Web Development (HTML / CSS / JavaScript / ASP.Net / jQuery / AJAX)

• Web Design (Photoshop or similar)

• GUI / Front End Design

• Web Accessibility

• Mobile Development (Mobile Web / iPhone / Android)

• Database Technologies (SQL Server, Reporting)

• XML / XSL

• WCF / Silverlight

• Team Foundation Server / Source Control / Team based development

• Active Directory

• Windows Server 2003/2008

• Microsoft Office (Advanced use)
