Following Microsoft's rejig of the Custom Development Competency to include the new MCPD (MIcrosoft Certified Professional Developer) qualification, Citric have now fulfilled the requirements for the Web Development Specialisation. This means we get yet another addition to our Gold Partner status and recognition of our abilities as developers to provide custom web solutions.

Citric have launched two new local government websites, one based on our Sitetric platform and the other a custom solution for a specialised purpose:

www.westnorthamptonshirejpu.org: Is a joint collaboration between three councils (South Northamptonshire, Daventry District and Northampton Borough) for showcasing the joint planning proposals for the West Northamptonshire area. It allows the three councils to update the site at any time and publish documents as needed.

www.eyccdcs.co.uk: Is a custom developed web application for the collection of Childcare data (although the system allows the questionnaires to be customised by the provider to collect virtually any kind of data). It allows the Northamptonshire County Council to collect data online that was previously filled in on hundreds of paper forms and then keyed in manually, improving accuracy, decreasing costs and saving time.

May has been a busy month for Citric, with the launch of three Sitetric websites, and the go-live of a custom application. The three websites:

• New websites for Teachers & Academic Personnel and Standby Teachers - these companies share the same management and back-end systems, and now they have common web interfaces. These sites also feature a new web-based timesheet management system.
• A new website for Associated Financial Advisors

The custom application is COLIN, a management system for a publishing company that we've been working on for a few months now. Further details on all three projects are in our portfolio.

If you're a regular visitor to our site, you may have noticed something different - we've updated the entire site! The site now runs on the DotNetNuke platform (obviously hosted by us) and means we should be able to keep it a lot more up-to-date than the old version. We hope you like it.

We're pleased to announce the launch of our Windows SharePoint Services site, that allows us to demo the features of WSS 3.0 and work with our clients and partners through the site.

Also on the new site are two new features - the team blog and Citric Wiki. On the blog we'll be posting snippets of useful information we come across, while the Wiki will hopefully grow into an encyclopedia of everything Citric - our projects, solutions, and procedures, available anytime/anywhere for our partners to use.

Citric has been a Microsoft Certified Partner since our creation in 2000, and when Microsoft introduced the competency programme 2 years ago, we made it our aim to become a Gold Certified Partner. We are pleased to accounce that as of 2007 Citric are Microsoft Gold Certified Partners, thanks to achieving the requirements in three competencies:

• Advanced Infrastructure Solutions (Hosting)
• Networking Infrastructure Solutions
• Data Management Solutions

We are pleased our achievements in these areas have been recognised and we are currently striving to meet the requirements of other competencies in areas we work in.
