Citric's remote office solution is an extension of our Hosted Exchange solution that adds file sharing capabilities, team collaboration services, and a complete remote support service, to allow anyone to work anywhere. There's no need for a physical office anymore - as long as you've got an internet connection, the world is your workplace.
We realise that working remotely is a big cultural change, as well as a daunting prospect in terms of the number of new technologies you need to be familiar with. Technologies
- Outlook Anywhere - Full access to Outlook over any internet connection.
- Synchronise Files - using VPN technology, update your files whenever you have a connection, and carry on working seamlessly when you don't.
- Wireless/3G - Any laptop* or Smartphone can be configured to securely use our network using any available internet connection (*Apple laptops will have limited functionality).
- Team Services - collaborate on documents, co-ordinate meetings and work together on tasks using a secure website.
- Communicate - using VOIP and video messaging, to hold conversations and conferences
- Remote Support - Need help? Invite us to help from your laptop and we'll be able to see your screen and control your mouse to aid you.

Things to Bear In Mind...
A remote office isn't for everyone. You need to be comfortable with technology and the majority of your work obviously needs to be done online - not much good if you can't get an internet connection or need lots of paper files.
Large files, even with broadband, can take a while to move from a remote server compared to a local one. If you regularly work with files bigger than 10MB, talk to us about other solutions.
