Installations
Exchange makes changes to your domain that are difficult to undo, so it's vital that any installation project is well-planned and executed correctly. Our experience of implementing new systems will ensure the installation goes smoothly and provides trouble-free operation for many years. We provide a complete installation service, from choosing hardware, through creating mailboxes and configuring MX records, to configuring backups. We'll also ensure your firewall and anti-virus/anti-spam products are correctly configured to give you maximum protection.
Upgrades
Exchange 2007/2010 are built for 64bit, meaning you cannot simply perform an in-place upgrade. Businesses moving from older versions will need 64-bit hardware, and all but the very smallest organisations will need at least two servers running different Exchange roles.

Migrations
Migrations from other systems to Exchange present a different set of problems to new installations and upgrades. For example, transitioning network objects from a Netware Directory Services infrastructure to Active Directory before any Exchange work is performed. Then there's the whole issue of mailbox, calendar and other data to move between systems. As a Gold Partner, we have access to a whole range of tools for performing migrations to assist us, to ensure the migration goes as smoothly as possible.
Advanced Features
We've become very adept at enabling the advanced features of Exchange: The features that really take Exchange beyond a simple mail server. These include:
- "Push Email" technology - for "always up to date" (autd) email on mobile devices and phones
- Outlook Web Access - secured via ISA server, for access to your Exchange server on any device
- Unified Messaging - managing your fax, voicemail and email in one application - Outlook
- SharePoint integration - inbound and outbound mail via document libraries, shared calendars and contact lists published in SharePoint
- Live Communicator integration - shared address lists, presence information and VOIP capabilities, using Outlook, Exchange, Active Directory and Live Commuications Server
- Online Meetings - Integrating an Exchange Infrastructure with LiveMeeting
Hosted Exchange
As as alternative to investing in your building and maintaining own Exchange Infrastructure, Citric can now offer companies of all sizes the advantages of an enterprise-level Exchange infrastructure, with no upfront costs and an affordableusage-based pricing model.
